Operations

The Operations Division is responsible for protecting life and property for over 40,000 citizens within the 11 square miles of our two cities. All emergency response operations are supervised by the Chief of Operations, who reports directly to the Fire Chief.

South Metro Fire operates out of two fire stations and maintains a fleet of four engines, two ladders, four ambulances, one boat, and a variety of support vehicles.  Our career firefighters are divided into three shifts that work a 24-hour, rotating schedule.  Each shift is supervised by two captains.
